I guess it was inevitable that the Cleveland Cavalier’s forward LeBron James would be getting his own movie soon. After all it’s either that or a reality show these day’s. THR is reporting that James is set to star in the newly announced film by Universal and Imagine entitled Fantasy Basketball Camp, which is being directed by Michael D. Lee (Soul Men). The movie is being produced by Brian Grazer, Imagine’s Michael Rosenberg and Kim Roth, as well as James and Maverick Carter, manager of LeBron Inc.
The movie sounds like it could have a lot of potential. The story follows five men who fly to Las Vegas to attend the “LeBron James Adult Basketball Camp”, only to find themselves dragging James into the various problems the men face. The script was originally penned by Babaloo Mandel and Lowell Ganz, however Peter Steinfeld has come aboard to pen a new draft. The movie has oodles of potential, the only thing that could stand in the way of success could be James’s comedic chops. Maybe find someone with some more proven comedic chops. Steve Nash anyone?

Not to be a stickler, but Lebron James already has a movie – the amazing documentary MORE THAN A GAME. I mean, it's not a narrative and he's not the ONLY star but – it's a movie and it's awesome. Just had to mention it.
This fantasy camp movie sounds like it could have potential though.
I am a basketball fan so I am def going to check it out. I just hope it's not a bunch of slapstick stuff. If its anything like Mike Tyson in The Hangover then it could be cool.
Also would like to mention, Lebron has hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live, in which he was hilarious! He def has the comedic chops, not to mention the swagger, to pull off this movie…They need to grab Zach Galifinakis for this or another awkward comedian, and this could actually be pretty damn good
