With Prometheus now playing, 20th Century Fox held a massive press junket in London last week where I was able to interview most of the cast and director Ridley Scott.  Here’s are my print interviews with Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Michael Fassbender and Scott, and here are my on camera interviews with Charlize Theron and Guy Pearce, Logan Marshall-Green and Damon Lindelof.  For more on the film, here’s four clips and five minutes of behind-the-scenes footage and Matt’s review.

During my on camera interview with Fassbender and Rapace, they talked about their reaction to the finished film, the amazing production design by Arthur Max, deleted scenes, and more.  Hit the jump to watch.

Also, the 3D is fantastic.

Note:  When Rapace talks about her deleted scene, it’s from a sequence near the end of the film.  I advise not watching that part of the interview until you’ve seen Prometheus.

Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace

  • What was their reaction when they saw the finished film
  • They talk about the incredible production design by Arthur Max and how they built everything practically
  • Deleted scenes talk.  Noomi Rapace talks about a scene towards the end of the film that had her fighting with the engineer

  1. Fassbender is using a weird voice in the interview. Doesn’t sound like him at all. Almost grovelly and like back-country southern. Its weird.

  2. One of my complaints was that the scene with Shaw and the Engineer was waayyyyyyy too short. They better add something into the blu ray version because that scene could have made up for a lot of missed opportunities in the suspense area.

    Was Fassbender drunk?

  3. Hmmm. Has there been an interview where Steve doesn’t end with “I have to wrap with you…”? Is it necessary to use the word “wrap”? Would actors not understand if you simply said “Thanks for your time”?

  4. Just saw prometheus in 3d. I loved it. What a great sci-fi movie. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. I hope they make a sequel. The opening scene was incredible. The ending was the icing on the cake. I’ve read so many people talking crap about this movie in the forums and it seems like a bunch of fanboys are crying cause they didn’t get the Alien movie prequel they wanted. Ridley Scott is a film “engineer”… Long live Sir Ridley

  6. Yeah, the answer “is epic” is like “i’m hot happy with the movie but i can tell you”.

    Great movie for me.

  7. If i would be Ridley Scott i don’t be happy with Fassbender saying “is epic”.

Joking or not, seems that he didn’t like the movie

    Rapace is much more enthusiastic

  8. This movie is a game changer. In a horrible way. That so many reviewers and commenters on movie fan sites cannot see what pure trash this is frankly amazes me. I am a huge Lost fan, and Star Trek fan along with Alien and Aliens. THis movie has retroactively ruined those things. This is Scott’s Episode One moment.

    • Fassbender so not impressed. even says its the last film he will do like that… no sequel.. the movie was awful

  9. So much hate for this movie. I can’t see what you guys are truly complaining about. I don’t think anything was cut short.

It was intended to leave people with a lot of questions. Just remember that.
