Michelle Williams is in negotiations to lead the romantic thriller The Double Hour, a remake of the 2009 Italian film, La Doppia Ora. Per The Wrap, the original film centers on an “ex-cop and a hotel maid who fall in love after meeting at a speed-dating event. After they retreat to the ex-cop’s employer’s house for a romantic evening, they are ambushed by a gang that the maid later appears to be involved with.” As anyone who has ever speed-dated with tell you, this is the very first fear that runs through their mind: if we hit it off and decide to have a romantic evening at my boss’ house, will we be ambushed by a gang? So relatable.
Joshua Marston (Maria Full of Grace) will write the script and direct. Williams will next be seen playing Glinda the Good Witch in Oz: The Great and Powerful. She is also in talks to star in Saul Dibb‘s period drama Suite Francaise. Hit the jump to check out the trailer for La Doppia Ora.
