Opening this weekend is writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson‘s Resident Evil: Retribution.   In the series’ fifth installment, we find Milla Jovovich waking up in the heart of the Umbrella Corporation’s most clandestine operations facility.  She continues to hunt those responsible for the deadly T-virus outbreak with the help of both newfound allies and familiar friends.  The film also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Kevin Durand, Shawn Roberts, Colin Salmon, Johann Urb, Boris Kodjoe, and Li Bingbing.  For more on RE5, here’s the trailer25 things to know about the movie from my set visit, some new images, and our Comic-Con panel recap.

The other day I spoke to Milla Jovovich.  She talked about what she wanted fans to feel as they left the theater, the action scenes, what she wanted to see happen in the fifth installment, and a lot more.  Hit the jump to watch.

Milla Jovovich:

  • Talks about what she wants fans to feel as they leave the theater
  • What did she want to see happen in the fifth installment
  • Talks about the action scenes and how involved she is

It’s nice to know that she’s really enjoying the whole business side (like doing interviews) as well as shooting the film because she’s such a down-to-earth kind of person unlike actors like Tommy Lee Jones who give you the attitude that all he cares about is the shooting and his paycheck since his interviews stink to the point that they’re kinda insulting to the interviewer as well as the movie fans. Same praise goes to Tom Cruise, regardless of his beliefs.

I watched this movie. This fifth installment looked like it was rushed – definitely not the same quality of the previous installments. For instance, the opening action scene is a left over from the previous installment, that’s penny pinching.
