Fresh off the first trailer for the battle-heavy Snow White and the Huntsman, Relativity has released the first look at their take on Snow White, Mirror Mirror. Directed by Tarsem Singh, the fantasy film is described as a “comedic adventure”and centers on Snow White (Lily Collins) setting out to reclaim her birthright from the Evil Queen (Julia Roberts). Mirror Mirror couldn’t be more different from Huntsman. It’s light, fluffy, and goofy. It’s also pretty close to terrible. The film almost comes off as a farce, it’s just so incredibly goofy. It’s as if Adam Sandler‘s Happy Madison decided to make a Snow White movie. With Tarsem at the helm, we’re sure to be in for a visual treat, but I fear the tone may painfully overshadow the extravagant visuals.

In Relativity’s Mirror Mirror starring Oscar®-winner Julia Roberts and breakout star Lily Collins (The Blind Side), an evil Queen (Roberts) steals control of a kingdom, and an exiled princess (Collins) enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over. The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the object of their affection, Prince Andrew Alcott, and Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen.

Tareem Singh makes awesome movies. Immortals was amazing and this will be too.
Reminds me of Robin Hood: Men in Tights, which was a semi-funny movie but also incredibly stupid.
At least you’ll be able to laugh at this one, the snow white huntsman one will probably just be terribly pretentious and a snoozefest.
OMG! I expected a complete disaster after reading all of these comments. I sincerely giggled most of the whole trailer. It’s OBVIOUSLY not meant as a remake of our beloved original! And reeeeally, do Julia Roberts truly exist???? Who doesn’t love our Julia Roberts for goodness sake?! I most certainly will watch this movie, and judging by this one trailer, quite enjoy it!
