Paramount has released a promo image of Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. I’m not exactly sure why he’s wearing a hoodie if he’s surrounded by burning wreckage since I would assume the fire would keep you nice and toasty. Also, he may want to stop staring at the camera and get out of there because it’s smoke inhalation and not the fire that will get you in the end.

I hope this film turns out to be a gritty action movie, the trailer was awesome and it is better than expected.
First thing that came to mind, was Alex Mercer from the game Prototype. Cool.
I have a feeling this movie is going to sucker punch me in the gut. In the best sense, of course. I’ve loved every movie Brad Bird has made and this one is aimed at adults and looks unhinged. Can’t wait!
He’s incognito and just maybe the explosion he’s walking away from is so huge he requires heat and fire protection via his nomex hoody.
Londoners might not like this imagery due to current events — 3 days of riots and burning often by groups of people in dark hoodie sweatshirts. It helps that it’s not a sweatshirt, though!

Tom Cruise stated that all of the Mission Impossible movies are set in their own alternate reality/universe and are not sequels or connected to each other. That explains why there is no continuity between the movies and why they keep using mostly new casts.
