Disney has released the first international trailer for Moana online. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the duo behind The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, the film revolves around Moana (Auli’i Cravalho), a spirited teenaged girl named who sets sail to prove herself a master sailor and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest, with demi-god Maui (Dwayne Johnson) in tow.

While Maui was used as a selling point in the U.S. trailer, this international trailer is all about Moana, specifically young Moana and her power over the ocean. Aside from the animation for the water effects being absolutely stunning, this is a cute clip and it gives us an idea that Maui isn’t the only one with special powers in this story. It will be interesting to see how the two characters work together as they traverse the ocean.

Check out the Moana international trailer below. Featuring original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda and the voice talent of Alan TudykMoana opens in theaters on November 23th.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis for Moana:

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast South Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one today knows why. From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated adventure about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”), and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), “Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.
