The Monday TV ratings for March 23rd are in; here are some of the highlights:

• The first two hours of Monday night were ruled by competition series, with NBC's The Voice winning its timeslot (and helping NBC win the night in the key 18-49 demographic -- standard practice for the show) even though it was down a tenth with a 3.3 rating and 11.88 million viewers.

• Also at 8 p.m. (and down a tenth), ABC's Dancing with the Stars picked up a 2.0 and 13.7 million viewers, boosting ABC to a win with overall viewers for the night.

• The Following's two-hour bloc of programming on Fox started at 8 p.m. with a 1.2 rating and 3.89 million viewers, with its second hour at 9 p.m. staying steady with another 1.2 and 3.72 million viewers. The double feature was up a tenth from last week's series low.

• 

  CBS's Scorpion won the 9 p.m. hour with a 2.0 rating and 9.57 million viewers, matching last week's numbers (and becoming the highest-rated scripted show of the night).

• CBS triumphed again at 10 p.m. with NCIS: LA, which, despite being down two tenths, garnered a 1.6 and 9.25 million viewers.

• The night was dark and filled with reruns, but NBC's The Night Shift ticked up several points at 10 p.m. to a 1.6 and 5.78 million viewers.

• ABC's Castle, also at 10 p.m., notched a 1.4 rating and 8.2 million viewers.
