We recently brought you word that Mondo and Nickelodeon were teaming up for a new gallery that would showcase some most-excellent artists. The nostalgia-fueled event will show off original artwork inspired by such beloved cartoons as The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko's Modern Life, SpongeBob SquarePants, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters and Avatar. This art comes courtesy of Francesco Francavilla, Ciro Nieli, Sara Kipin, Janice Chu, Dave Perillo, Florian Bertmer, and Sachin Teng, whose take on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was teased in the gallery's announcement article. But there's more TMNT to enjoy!
We're happy to bring you the exclusive reveal of Rosemary Valero-O’Connell's TMNT poster and its variant. The playful setup of this poster sees the title teen turtles chowing down on their favorite food while lounging atop the pizza shop's roof. The design of the standard poster pays homage to Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman's original comic book design and color scheme, while the nighttime variant finds the turtles donning their multi-colored costumes that have become synonymous with their names and personalities. Fun stuff!
