20th Century Fox has released the first trailer and poster for Assassin’s Creed last night.  Directed by Justin Kurzel who directed Macbeth, the film stars Michael Fassbender as death row inmate Callum Lynch, who is whisked away to Abstergo and, through revolutionary technology, is enabled to experience the memories of his ancestor Aguilar in 15th Century Spain. The film opens December 21st and also stars Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Michael K. Williams.

Based on Batman’s “Knightmare” sequence in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it looked like the villain being teased for Justice League: Part One would be none other than Darkseid. However, according to a new report from Birth.Movies.Death. that might not be the case. Instead of Darkseid, BMD is claiming that we’ve already seen the villain… Sort of. In the deleted scene that was strangely released after the opening weekend of BVS, fans got a look at what could be Steppenwolf when Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor entered the Kryptonian ship. The report states that the character, who is Darkseid’s uncle in the comics, will be the main villain of Justice League: Part One. BMD also claims that Darkseid will make an appearance at the end of the movie in order to tease Part 2.

According to a report from ScreenDaily, Joaquin Phoenix is set to star in Lynne Ramsay’s You Were Never Really Here, a character-driven thriller revolving around a tormented war veteran with a troubled past. In You Were Never Really Here, Phoenix will play a damaged war veteran, now a rescuer of women trafficked into the sex trade. When the extraction of a girl from a Manhattan brothel goes wrong, a storm of violence and corrupt power is unleashed against him, stirring a vengeance that may be his awakening. Ramsay, who directed Tilda Swinton in We Need to Talk About Kevin, will direct from her own adaptation of a novella by Jonathan Ames.

A new report has surfaced regarding the possibility of a Booster Gold movie in development over at Warner Bros. and DC Films. Now, thanks to a new interview from THR screenwriter Zack Stentz has been confirmed to be writing a Booster Gold movie with Berlanti also confirmed to be directing. Stentz’ credits include Thor, the new Power Rangers and Agent Cody Banks, and is working on the script right now with Berlanti producing.

According to an exclusive report from The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider, Jack Black is in talks to star alongside Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart in Sony’s Jumanji reboot. Jake Kasdan is directing the big-budget adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg’s 1981 book, which is being produced by Matt Tolmach at Sony. Van Allsburg will serve as an executive producer alongside Johnson, Dany Garcia, Ted Field and Mike Weber. Johnson confirmed the casting, as he is known to do, on an Instagram post. Production is expected to start in August in Hawaii, with Sony dating Jumanji for July 28, 2017.

Hello Crew!

If you could choose between Kubrick, Scorsese or Hitchcock to direct a superhero movie, who would you choose and what superhero would you like to see them bring to life?

Thanks for the thoughts!
