Earlier today, I came across an awesome new theater standee for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. While I’ve seen many theater standees over the years, the level of detail on this one was really impressive. Instead of one main piece which just said the name of the film, Walt Disney marketing has created a standee with tons of loose parts that are begging to be stolen. If I wasn’t being watched while I took these pictures, I would have absolutely “borrowed” the beaded necklace on the right side of the skull. The standee even has Johnny Depp’s braided beard, his red bandana, and an exact replica of the beads that hang from his hair. As I said, the level of detail is very impressive.
I was told this standee is only going to select theaters so this might be your only chance to check it out. If anyone sees this in their theater lobby, let me know how long it survives….Hit the jump to check out of the pictures.

Here’s a pic of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow so you can compare the display to what he looks like.

As I said, it’s really well done.
click on any image for high-res. Sorry for the quality. All I had was my camera phone.

what is the skull plastic?
Dibs!
Thanks for showing this – I want the beads, too. Any guesses as to why is the hair coming out the bandana blond? Anything to do with Elizabeth? And is the little bead at the top supposed to resemble Donald Duck?
I see skeletons at the end of the last bead…significant?
Where could I purchase one of these?
There is one on ebay . I have seen few of them , price rage from 3500 up to 6000.
Hi Steve, I’ve just come into possession of one of these, minus the poster though. Any clue as to how many were actually ever made? And/or what the value might be??? Thanks!
