Zack Snyder is having a little trouble nailing down his casting for his upcoming film "Sucker Punch". A few weeks ago, lead Amanda Seyfried had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict with her show "Big Love" and the role was re-cast about a week later with Emily Browning.
Now The Hollywood Reporter is Hollywood Reporting that "Sucker Punch" has lost Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone have dropped out due to scheduling conflict (does no one in Hollywood own a calendar, dammit!) and have been replaced with Jenna Malone and Jamie Chung, respectively. Chung will play Amber, "a country girl with a big heart" while Malone will play the younger sister of Abbie Cornish's character. Both characters are inmates in the asylum where the film takes place.
For those just tuning in, "Sucker Punch" centers on a girl confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternate reality to hide from the pain and in that world begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out.
Hopefully this will be the last of Mr. Synder's casting woes.
