Kristen Wiig certainly refuses to be pigeonholed as just a comedic actress. Though she will be returning to comedy in Ghostbusters, she’s recently been involved in a number of more dramatic roles like The Diary of a Teenage Girl, and the inexplicable Lifetime movie A Deadly Adoption with Will Ferrell. Though dabbling in some avant garde satire (IFC’s The Spoils Before Dying) as well as sci-fi with Ridley Scott’s The Martian, Wiig has also found time to make a pitstop in the indie drama Nasty Baby.

The film premiered at Sundance, and then has seemingly faded away. But, in anticipation of its overseas release, we’re getting our first international trailer. And it’s … odd.

Written, directed by, and starring Sebastian Silva, the movie follows,

A gay couple try to have a baby with the help of their best friend, Polly. The trio navigates the idea of creating life while confronted by unexpected harassment from a neighborhood man called The Bishop. As their clashes grow increasingly aggressive, odds are someone is getting hurt.

The Bishop part is the oddity, as you'll see. The movie also stars Tunde Adebimpe, Reg E. Cathey, and Alia Shawkat. Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think of the weird twist. The movie will be released in the U.S. by The Orchard October 23rd, and on VOD October 30th
