After much behind-the-scenes drama and multiple delays, Gavin O'Connor's Western drama Jane Got a Gun will finally be making its way into theaters later this month. The story finds Natalie Portman playing the title character, a pioneer woman who's forced to turn to her former fiancé Dan Frost (Joel Edgerton) in order to defend her wounded husband (Noah Emmerich) against the Bishop Boys, a vicious gang of outlaws led by Colin McCann (Ewan McGregor).

In a new clip from the film, we see Jane sharpening her gun-slinging skills under Frost's tutelage. While the revolver may not be her weapon of choice, Jane does quite well behind the stock of a Winchester rifle. It's a nice little clip that takes a peek into the relationship between Jane and Frost, but out of context it leaves audiences wanting to know more. Luckily they can see Jane Got a Gun, also starring Boyd Holbrook and Rodrigo Santoro, starting January 29th.
