This may sound strange, but I’ve always pictured Natalie Portman as a 19th century British socialite wielding a sawed-off shotgun. I suppose it was a premonition because Variety is reporting that Portman will both star in and produce the adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, but with zombies, as Austen always intended.
Portman will play heroine Elizabeth Bennet who is distracted from her quest to kill her some zombies when that smug jackass Mr. Darcy shows up. I can really connect with Elizabeth because I get distracted from playing Left 4 Dead when the pizza delivery guys shows up and I have to put on pants.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is another in a line of Portman’s dance between genres as she’s currently filming on Darren Aronofsky ballet psychological-thriller, Black Swan before moving on to co-star in the big-budget superhero flick Thor. Her latest movie, Brothers, is an intimate family drama and she’ll next be seen at the Sundance Film Festival in the indie drama Hesher. She stays busy.
Dude, you really make me laugh! Thanks.

Wow man you really have no life or goals to spent that much time dissing a book you won't read and trying to convince people that actually don't take it that seriously in the 1st place.
Yet if it can get the “Average joe” to read a few books then it is a success IMO. Even if it is tied in with some old classic literature, albeit some very boring literature if you want my opinion…
I dunno give me any other literature of that time that was not based on some dreamed up version of a romanticized bourgeoisie life. The “Faux Moneyeur” or even the “Alembic” comes to mind.
At least it was not “Madame de Bovary”, I mean Zombies or not that books is the longest most boring read I ever put up with and I even managed to finish it.
