To quote one of the bad guys from Mortal Kombat: It has begun! In anticipation of this week's upfronts schedule, NBC dropped an announcement of their 2015-16 lineup, including hugely anticipated bows of series such as Game of Silence, People Are Talking, and Blindspot, the latest mystery series from the intensely busy Greg Berlanti. A lot of the material sounds, at the very least, interesting, but considering this being a visual medium and all, pictures speak much more than words. So, NBC has offered us a hefty look at the season of premieres that will be up for viewing upon the kick-off of the 2015-16 season, after already getting our first glimpse at Heroes Reborn.
The pictures also cover Superstore, a new workplace comedy starring America Ferrera; The Player, an action-drama teaming Wesley Snipes with Philip Winchester; Heartbreaker, about one of the few female heart surgeons in the world, played by The Slap's Melissa George; and Coach, a revamped continuation of the 1990s sitcom lead by Craig T. Nelson. These, among other debuting programs, will be added to renewals for The Mysteries of Laura, The Night Shift, Undateable, and NBC's stalwarts that promise a bountiful season of television. That being said, the return of Hannibal on June 4th remains the most anticipated NBC event for this writer.
