Alongside the announcement that tickets are now on sale, Disney has released a new Avengers: Endgame trailer. In the latest installment of the MCU, the remaining Avengers band together to try and undo the damage wrought by Thanos at the conclusion of Avengers: Infinity War.
Disney has also announced “In 12 North America theaters (11 U.S. and one Canada), fans will have the chance to experience the Marvel Cinematic Universe like never before at the Marvel Studios’ 22-Movie Marathon. Starting Tuesday, April 23rd, fans will be able to see every film in the MCU, culminating with Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Endgame” at 5 p.m. local time on Thursday, April 25th,” to which I can only respond, why? First off, if you’ve got three days in the middle of the week to take off, you’re either doing really well or not so great. There’s no middle ground there. Second, is the best way to see Endgame when you haven’t slept, showered, or eaten a proper meal in three days? Is that how you want your first viewing to go down?
As for this new trailer, we’re also reaching the endgame of Disney’s marketing, where they’re comfortable showing large chunks of the movie to the point where you can pretty much make out the three-act structure. I’m not saying anything has been spoiled, but this is just how Disney operates when marketing their movies.
Check out the latest Avengers: Endgame trailer below. The film opens April 26th and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Bradley Cooper, and Josh Brolin.
Here’s the official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
