Annapurna has released a new Booksmart trailer. Following the red-band trailer that was released last month, this green-band trailer hits most of the same beats but with slightly less raunchiness. Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein play a pair of high school overachievers who have never taken the time to party because they were focused so much on their studies. When they see that their classmates who partied hard but still got into good schools, the duo decides to catch up on all the wild times they missed out on the last four years.

Ever since the film broke out big at SXSW, I’ve been incredibly excited for Booksmart. I didn’t know what to expect from Olivia Wilde in her directorial debut, but it sounds like she’s hit it out of the park with what’s easily billed as a “Superbad but with teenage girls” and yet also a movie that easily stands on its own. I’m a big fan of both Dever and Feldstein from their work in Short Term 12 and Lady Bird, respectively, so I’m eager to see them play off each other in a mainstream comedy.

Check out the Booksmart trailer below. The film opens May 24th and also stars Jessica Williams, Lisa Kudrow, Will Forte, and Jason Sudeikis.

Here’s the official synopsis for Booksmart:

Told from a wildly original, fresh and modern perspective, Booksmart is an unfiltered comedy about high school best friends and the bonds we create that last a lifetime. Capturing the spirit of our times, the film is a coming of age story for a new generation.
