In a world where new generations of kids have been growing with Pixar films since the mid 90′s, it’s easy to forget that Disney’s traditionally animated features were once the standard against which all children’s films were measured. Well Disney is looking to earn some of that 2D clout back with the release of “The Princess and the Frog”, a film that is promised to return to the glory days of Disney hand-drawn musical animation. Set in the bayous of New Orleans in the the early 1900′s, the film tells the story of a prince turned into a frog by the film’s voodoo-practicing villain who attempts to return to human form by receiving a kiss from a beautiful young “princess”, but things don’t exactly pan out. Hit the jump (it’s a frog, get it?) to see a three and a half minute clip from the film, and a cool story featurette.
