About a month ago we posted the first trailer, poster and images from Universal’s supernatural thriller Devil. The film is about a few people trapped in an elevator (with one of them being the Devil) and it stars Chris Messina, Geoffrey Arend, Logan Marshall-Green, Bojana Novakovic, Jenny O’Hara, Bokeem Woodbine, Jacob Vargas and it’s from a story by M. Night Shyamalan. Of course when Universal decided to make Devil, Shyamalan’s name carried more weight. But after The Last Airbender and Lady in the Water, I think Shyamalan’s name on a project is more of a liability than an asset.
But even though his last few films have been disappointments, I dug the trailer for Devil and think the film has a cool concept that if done right, might be pretty cool. Also, Shyamalan only produced the film, as it was directed by John Erick Dowdle. That means it might be good. Anyway, we’ve been given a ton of new images, so hit the jump to check them out. Devil gets released September 17, 2010.

One of the most rewarding experiences when I saw Scott Pilgrim was the whole audience collectively booing when “From the mind of M. Night Shyamalan” came up in this films trailer.

LAST AIRBENDER IS TOP CLASS AND IS SHOWING FOR OVER FOUR WEEKS AT FIVE SCREENS IN A COUNTRY WHOSE POPULATION IS ONLY 1.2 MILLION PEOPLE.
CRITICS IN THE USA WERE ATTACKING THE FILM AND THE DIRECTOR / PRODUCER BEFORE THEY EVEN SAW THE FILM…TERMS LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD MORE ASIANS ETC…WHAT HAS THAT GOT TO DO WITH IT…HOLLYWOOD HAS BLACK PLAYING WHITE BLUE PLAYING WHITE…WHITE PLAYTING INDIANS ETC….IT IS SHEER PREJUDICE…
IF THE UK REFERS TO A HOMO SEXUAL AS A BENDER …WHAT HAS THAT GOT TO DO WITH THE FILM OTHER THAN RIDUCULE THE PRODUCER….AMERICANS CALLED A FILM A FOCKER AND IN OUR DICTION IT IS OBSENE AND IN GERMANY..IT IS A PLANE.
ANYHOW EVEN IN THE USA, THE MOVE DID BETTER THAN THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE AND OTHER SIMILAR MOVIES THAT COST MORE…SO THE CRITICS CAN BEND ON THAT….ELSEWHERE IS IS DOING EXTREMELY WELL…SO BEND AMERICAN CRITICS AND THOSE WHO ARE PUSHING INCEPTION WHICH IS NONSENCE BY ANY WAY…GO SEE THE EXPENDABLES IF LAST AIRBENDER IS SOLD OUT.
