New Featurette for PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME

I’m going to set aside my bitterness over the non-Persian Prince of Persia and my unwavering skepticism in video game movies to say that this new featurette for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time makes the flick look pretty darn fun.  I wouldn’t rank it high on my most anticipated of 2010 list, but Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays the titular Prince, “Dastan”, looks like he’s having a good time, the action appears well-choreographed, and as long as the story isn’t completely rotten (and they have a good reason for why the non-Persian Gyllenhaal is playing the title character) this may turn out to be an enjoyable summer blockbuster.
