Paramount has released nine new images from “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” and they’re after the jump. While most of the online community has given up hope that “G.I. Joe” could be enjoyable, I’ll admit to wanting to check it out for myself. Also, the film is aimed at kids, so why thirty year old men need to have their panties in a bunch about this film is beyond me. I watched the cartoon when I was a kid. But I don’t need to have “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” shake heaven and Earth for me to be happy. I’m just looking for a fun popcorn film. If I get that, great. Finally, I went to the set of “Joe” last year and left feeling that it could be a lot of fun. We’ll see in a few weeks. Check out the images after the jump.

“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung Hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Saïd Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Dennis Quaid.

  1. Isn’t saying the “its a kids movie” defense basically saying its Ok if it sucks since kids will eat it up? Plus isn’t it PG-13? If I had kids I definitely wouldn’t want them to see something like this, I would probably take them too an actual GOOD movie like UP that isn’t just aimed towards little kiddies but also adults due to good characters and a good story. I want this movie to be awesome but it does look pretty bad and it has some really bad cringe worthy lines (“Wuts it accelerate”, “Real American Heros”, “When all else fails, we don!”) in the trailer, the CGI that looks like crap (the kind that pulls you out of the movie), and some really bad acting. I thought at first this may have been a film student’s parody of GI JOE, but then I found at that someone actually spent money on this thing.
