Just as a warning, you've seen a couple of these "new" images before but they had ugly, gigantic logos on them and that's not the way they were meant to be seen.  You deserve better, these films deserve better, and AMERICA deserves better.  I don't want to say that the sites that ran these images as exclusives hate America, but I'm going to.  Those sites hate America.

But since Collider loves America, we're bringing you these images, not only untarnished by our admittedly-awesome logo, but in high-resolution.  You see the image at the top of this article from Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones" features Susie Salmon (Saiorsie Ronan) looking out over her "Personal Heaven"?  That's my new desktop.  As badly as the trailer mislead to folks thinking this film is a mystery-thriller, these images convey the sense I received from the book and I hope they'll lure people back into seeing the movie.  There's also new photos for Jason Reitman's "Up in the Air".  They feature George Clooney who also makes for a good desktop.  Hit the jump for new images (click on them for hi-rez) from both films along with synopsis for each.  "The Lovely Bones" hits theatres on December 11th.  "Up in the Air" is schedule for sometime in December but will premiere at this year's Toronto Film Festival on September 12th.

From Jason Reitman, the Oscar® nominated director of "Juno," comes a comedy called "Up in the Air" starring Oscar® winner George Clooney as Ryan Bingham, a corporate downsizing expert whose cherished life on the road is threatened just as he is on the cusp of reaching ten million frequent flyer miles and just after he's met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.
