Last week, the first poster for Iron Man 2 landed online and it featured the title character (Robert Downey Jr.) in his slightly modified armor and behind him was War Machine aka Captain James "Rhodey" Rhodes (played by Don Cheadle).  It was followed a couple days later by an international poster featuring an intensely-serious Tony Stark.  Today, Apple has debuted a new poster, this time with Mickey Rourke as the baddie Whiplash.  After spending years in a Russian prison, Whiplash has it in for Tony Stark's hero-posturing even though his weapons killed so many people in his pre-Iron Man days. I'm hoping that these teaser posters are part of a series because if that's the case then we have a very good shot at getting a sexy Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) pin-up sometime in (hopefully) the near future.

On a separate note, FilmSchoolRejects received confirmation from Paramount that the first trailer for Iron Man 2 will be attached to Sherlock Holmes, which also stars Robert Downey Jr. and is tracking extremely well (meaning that the awareness of Holmes should translate into a big opening weekend for that film).  Several weeks ago, Jon Favreau had tweeted a very strong hint about the trailer being attached to Sherlock Holmes.  The Favreau does not mislead his followers.
