Warner Bros. has released a new Mad Max: Fury Road TV spot, appropriately titled “Explosions”. The film stars Tom Hardy as Mad Max, who joins up with Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) as they flee across the post-apocalyptic wasteland from a gang of ruthless warlords. Although this is a brief TV spot, there are some bits of new footage, and Mad Max remains one of my most-anticipated films of the year.

Check out the Mad Max: Fury Road TV spot below. The film will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and opens in 3D on May 15th, and also stars Nicholas Hoult, Riley Keough, Zoe Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, and Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone.  Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa.  They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken.  Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
