Every February in New York City is an event called Toy Fair. It’s where all the toy manufacturers showcase their upcoming toys and it allows both smaller toy stores and big companies like Wal-Mart and Toys R Us to place a lot of orders.
It’s also where fanboys and fangirls get their first looks at a lot of cool stuff.
Yesterday I posted the upcoming “Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen” and “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” toys, and now I’ve got a ton of Marvel toys.
At first glance, I have to say I’m not impressed. A lot of the bodies look like they have the same mold with a different paint job. And while toy companies have been doing that for years, these new toys just don’t look inspired.
That being said, while the new toys don’t impress me….Hasbro and Marvel are releasing 25th Anniversary Secret Wars two-packs! While I wish they were exact reproductions of the original figures…it’s still very cool.
Look for a few more toy articles later today.
