A new poster plus two new clips for Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones have come online. The poster is similar to the previous poster except this time the sunset colors are no match for the dark presence of Stanley “The Tooch” Tucci. There are also two new clips and I find them both unsettling because they have no subtlety and they rely on Brian Eno’s score to tell the audience what they already know to feel. This combination gives the impression of a cheesy movie and I’m hoping that, like the trailer, this is just an inept sell of a better movie. I really like Alice Sebold’s book and I know Jackson has the talent to pull this off, but my cautious optimism is slowly becoming just caution.
Hit the jump to check out the new poster and the two new clips. The Lovely Bones hits theaters on December 11th.
