Summit Entertainment has released almost a dozen new images from director Robert Schwentke's Red. Since we've been covering the film extensively the past few months, you probably know Red is based on the three issue comic book mini-series by writer Warren Ellis and artist Cully Hamner and it's about a group of former CIA agents that are framed for assassination so they must get back together to clear their names. Red stars Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Karl Urban, Helen Mirren, James Remar, Julian McMahon, Brian Cox, Ernest Borgnine, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Richard Dreyfuss.
I visited the set earlier this year and thought it looked great. On top of that, the trailer is fantastic and I've heard the film is testing extremely well. That's probably why Summit was willing to do some additional filming this weekend to add a bit to the ending. Anyway, hit the jump for the new images. Red opens October 15.

Frank (Bruce Willis), Joe (Morgan Freeman), Marvin (John Malkovich) and Victoria (Helen Mirren) used to be the CIA's top agents - but the secrets they know just made them the Agency's top targets. Now framed for assassination, they must use all of their collective cunning, experience and teamwork to stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers and stay alive. To stop the operation, the team embarks on an impossible, cross-country mission to break into the top-secret CIA headquarters, where they will uncover one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.
