It’s not going to beat the Red Band Hit-Girl trailer (and let’s be honest: not much can), but this new green band trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass gets the job done. It gives you a greater overview of the plot, the characters (with Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Moretz, Mark Strong, and Nicolas Cage in the lead roles), the action, and the comedy. So what if it leaves out the swearing and gratuitous violence? That’s what MPAA ratings are for: to make kids under the age of seventeen desperately want to see this movie even more. Hopefully, we’ll get another red band trailer in the near future, but I’m happy to report any and all Kick-Ass news.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer and synopsis. Kick-Ass hits theaters on April 16th.

For those just tuning in, here’s a brief synopsis for Kick-Ass:
Dave Lizewski, a comic-book fanboy, decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl and her father, Big Daddy.

having recently read the comic, this looks awesome. I caught little glimpses of hilarious scenes. Just wondering who they cast as the science teacher.
I've been waiting for this trailer, more story/character depictions, to see if I was interested and yes I think this will be a good one.
Nice to see Nic Cage back in the somewhat eccentric/off role again.
End of Line
I had my doubts about this at first but after reading the short series I can tell this will be a good story. Looks like the movie is going to be faithful.
i could go either way on this one
Chloe Moretz as 'Toph' in the next LAST AIRBENDER movie.
Just putting it out there in case M. Night Shyamalan or Frank Marshall are watching.
I think She would be a perfect Toph
