The MTV Movie Awards aired last night and, as one might expect, Star Wars: The Force Awakens took home a number of Golden Popcorn statues including Movie of the Year, Breakthrough Performance for Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver for Best Villain.

Best Female Performance went to Charlize Theron for Mad Max: Fury Road while Best Male Performance went to The Revenant’s Leonardo DiCaprio.

Deadpool snagged two awards, one for Best Comedic Performance for Ryan Reynolds and one for Best Fight for Reynolds and Ed Skrein.

In addition to dolling out awards and coordinating outrageous stunts and music performances - which included a very nostalgic Lonely Island tribute to Will Smith - the MTV Movie Awards is also a night of trailer debuts. We got insanely entertaining trailers for Suicide Squad, a trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which includes a chilling rendition of the Harry Potter theme song. There was also a behind-the-scenes look at Kong: Skull Island and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets starring Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan. On top that, the show also unveiled the very first clip from Captain America: Civil War.

The rest of the winners include Pitch Perfect 2 for Best Ensemble, Chris Pratt for Best Action Performance in Jurassic World, Amy Poehler for Best Virtual Performance for Inside Out, Jennifer Lawrence for Best Hero from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, Rebel Wilson and Adam DeVine for Best Kiss from Pitch Perfect 2, Straight Outta Compton for Best True Story and Amy for Best Documentary.

Didn’t catch the ceremony last night? Don’t worry! You can find all of the aforementioned footage on collider.com. You can also catch the Movie Talk crew discussing the new trailers on today’s show.
