The first clip from director Jaume Collet-Serra‘s new thriller Non-Stop is now online.  The film takes place on a transatlantic flight where a U.S. Air Marshal (Liam Neeson) must stop a mysterious hijacker who is threatening to kill a passenger every 20 minutes unless his ransom demand is met.  The action hasn't quite jumped up to that level in this first clip, but it will make you think twice about complaining about cramped seating or a shortage or airplane peanuts.

The film also stars Julianne Moore, Corey Stoll, Michelle Dockery, Scoot McNairy, Lupita Nyong’O, Bar Paly, and Anson Mount.  Non-Stop opens February 28, 2014.  Hit the jump to watch the new clip.

Here’s the official synopsis for Non-Stop:

Global action star Liam Neeson stars in Non-Stop, a suspense thriller played out at 40,000 feet in the air.  During a transatlantic flight from New York City to London, U.S. Air Marshal Bill Marks (Neeson) receives a series of cryptic text messages demanding that he instruct the airline to transfer $150 million into an off-shore account.  Until he secures the money, a passenger on his flight will be killed every 20 minutes.  The film reunites Neeson with Unknown director Jaume Collet-Serra and producer Joel Silver, and co-stars Golden Globe Award winner Julianne Moore.
