Since most of the programming on The CW isn't really my cup of tea, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying the hell out of Reaper a few years back. Unfortunately, the series was shortlived with only two seasons before cancellation, but the creators of that series, Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are back with two new series at two different networks. The first is Notorious, a character-based police procedural (because we don't have enough of those) which follows an attention-loving LAPD detective who has become famous after solving a murder that made national headlines. Thriving in the spotlight and not bothered by the fact that his personal life is fodder for TMZ, he tries to solve the city’s most high-profile cases. Sounds like there's a bit of comedy to be had in this series, but the TV duo has plenty of dramatic procedural experience since they both worked for five season on Law & Order: SVU and even became co-executive producers of that series.

Details on Fazeka and Butters' new series at The CW after the jump.

The second series the TV duo has developing is more akin to their work on Reaper. The potential series is described, per Deadline, as an untitled Alien Bounty Hunter project about a young woman who, on the first day of her new job, discovers that the cosmetics company for which she is working is actually a cover business for a secret governmental project that monitors alien activity on Earth. I feel like Women in Black as a title might be a little too on the nose, but what about Cosmetic Universe? Just think about it. Honestly, it's this second series that has me most interested since Fazeka and Butters nailed the blend of comedy and supernatural with Reaper, and I'd love to see that back on The CW again.
