19 New Images from ODD THOMAS Starring Anton Yelchin; Film’s Release Delayed Indefinitely over Financial Dispute

     July 9, 2013

Nineteen new images have been released online for Stephen Sommers‘ adaptation of Dean Koontz‘ novel, Odd Thomas.  The film stars Anton Yelchin as a short-order cook who can communicate with the dead, and judging by the trailer, it’s got a fun, quirky vibe that’s a far cry from Sommers’ previous blockbuster films, which includes The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Van Helsing, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.  The images don’t tell us much about the film we didn’t already know, but we have learned some unfortunate news about the feature.  According to THR, “Two Out of Ten Prods., known at TOOT, and Fusion Films filed their lawsuit Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, naming as defendants Outsource Media Group Fund, ABS Investment Group, individuals Craig Chang and Mark Bishop, and Outsource Media Group,” over $35 million in marketing and distribution costs.  THR has more details regarding the particulars of the case, but the long and short of it is that we shouldn’t expect to see the film until this matter is resolved.  It’s disappointing when you consider that not only does it have Yelchin in the lead, but the cast also includes Willem Dafoe and Patton Oswalt.

Hit the jump to check out the images.  Odd Thomas also stars Addison Timlin, Nico Tortorella, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
