The Oklahoma Film Critics Circle, of which I am a voting member, announced the results of its annual film awards today, and Spotlight took home the top prize as it was named the Best Film of 2015. The Oscar favorite continued its critics group success by landing the OFCC’s Best Picture prize, while George Miller was named Best Director for his impeccable work on Mad Max: Fury Road. When all was said and done, the love was spread pretty liberally across a number of films. Leonardo DiCaprio landed Best Actor for his work in The Revenant, Brie Larson was named Best Actress for Room, Best Supporting Actor resulted in a tie between Sylvester Stallone for Creed and Michael Keaton for Spotlight, and Best Supporting Actress went to Alicia Vikander for her stunning turn in Ex Machina. Indeed, the breakout actress earned the OFCC’s “Best Body of Work” prize for her stellar 2015, which included roles in The Danish Girl, Testament of Youth, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and Burnt.

Not all of the OFCC’s prizes are coveted, though, as Tomorrowland earned the (dis)honor of 2015’s Most Disappointing Film. Check out the complete list of winners and the ranked Top 10 films of 2015 below. The Oklahoma Film Critics Circle is made up of Oklahoma-based movie critics writing for print, broadcast, and online outlets that publish or post reviews of current film releases.
