The highly-anticipated third Riddick film, previously rumored to be titled The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking, but now simply called “Riddick” (which may be a tentative title at this point), now has an official plot synopsis. ShockTillYouDrop landed the synopsis for the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting later this year after Vin Diesel wraps shooting on Fast Five, the fifth installment in the Fast & The Furious franchise. But back to what we care about, here’s the official synopsis for Riddick:
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
So it kind of sounds like “Predator” or “Alien” except the Riddick is the monster and the monster is the protagonist. It sounds like this flick may be worth the wait.

I literally Can't wait for this movie.
“Dead Man Stalking” WTF? The fact they ever considered that as a real title is pathetic.
Sounds to me like they’re completely ditching the story and mythology established in Chronicles, which is disappointing, since that was pretty interesting. Hopefully this one at least delves into Riddick’s origins, although the path the Chronicles movie took suggested that we would learn that anyway.
