  1. Actually looking forward to this quite a bit. I love the original, I love Spike Lee, Josh Brolin is great in everything he’s in, and Sharlto Copley is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors (his D9 performance is, IMO, one of the best of the performances of the past decade, and he made a hell of a Murdock. Even Dwight Schultz gave him props for his performance). Not only is the prospect of Sharlto Copley and Spike Lee working together awesome, but I’m really looking forward to see what Copley can do with the Woo-Jin Lee role

      • Typical fanboy judging a film before actually watching it. Spike Lee has directed great films, and this has a great cast behind the great director. I loved the original, and usually dislike classics, but it seems their trying here.

  2. ‘illusive’?
    I think the author has been playing too much Mass Effect. That word was made up as a character’s name. The word you’re searching for is ‘elusive’.
    Amazing what they teach in ‘journalism’ these days…

    • “illusive” is actually a word – it wasn’t “made up” for a character in Mass Effect. Sure, the guy has used the wrong word in this context but you’re wrong in saying that illusive is made up. Try using a dictionary or Google before you attempt to stamp your superiority on a public forum.

      • Microsoft word destroyed peoples’ ability to spell without getting the program to fix mistakes or reach for a dictionary such as the google one. Shame.

      • The description of Copley’s character as “illusive” rather than “elusive” is correct and taken directly from the film’s official synopsis, which is included in this article.

        illusive = “deceptive or unreal.”

  3. I don’t see whats the big deal. IT isn’t really a remake but based of the manga which Chan changed drastically on his own. Spike is doing the same thing.
