Olivia Wilde has signed on to co-star in the body-switching comedy The Change-Up. The film is about a married man (played by Jason Bateman) who switches bodies with his slacker best friend (played by Ryan Reynolds). According to Deadline, Wilde will play a co-worker at Bateman’s law firm who’s an impetus for the body switch. The Change-Up is directed by David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) and was written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (The Hangover). Production is slated to begin this fall.
Wilde has been keeping busy. In addition to starring on the weekly medical drama House, she recently wrapped filming on Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens and is co-starring in the satirical comedy Butter with Jennifer Garner and Hugh Jackman. She’ll be seen in theaters this November in the Russell Crowe thriller The Next Three Days and then the following month in Disney’s sci-fi blockbuster TRON: Legacy.
