How are you weathering the Droughtlander, my dears? Bless Starz, which is getting into the giving mood for the Christmas season by introducing 25 Days of Sharing, where they have developed an Outlander Advent calendar of sorts. Every day they’ll be releasing new content over social media, kicking off with this teaser for Outlander Season 2. And it is a doozy.

First of all, Season 2 will find Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) in France, whence they have fled. Claire is pregnant, but that is clearly not slowing her down one bit. When Jamie talks of war, Claire tells him that they have to change things. Yes, they literally are going to stop a war while in France. But, such is Claire’s passion for saving Scotland (and her future with Jamie, and their child), while using her unique knowledge of historical events to help plan it all out. Will Claire’s actions strengthen their relationship though, or tear it apart? Check out the teaser below:

Outlander will return to Starz in the spring of 2016.

Here’s the official synopsis for Season 2:

Season Two of Outlander begins as Claire and Jamie arrive in France, hell-bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart, and stopping the battle of Culloden.  With the help of his cousin Jared, a local wine merchant, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the lavish world of French society, where intrigue and parties are abundant, but political gain proves far less fruitful.  Altering the course of history presents challenges that begin to weigh on the very fabric of their relationship.  However, armed with the knowledge of what lies ahead, Claire and Jamie must race to prevent a doomed Highland uprising, and the extinction of Scottish life as they know it.
