Here’s the official synopsis for Oz the Great and Powerful:

Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot–fame and fortune are his for the taking–that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity–and even a bit of wizardry–Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Great Gatsby:

The Great Gatsby follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

Here’s the official synopsis for Warm Bodies:

A funny new twist on a classic love story, WARM BODIES is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

that is not Rachel Weisz in the poster for Oz. It’s Mila Kunis

Everytime I read about Oz the witches seem the change.

Yes, it is Rachel Weisz in the poster for Oz: the Great and Powerful. I can tell just by looking at her face in the poster. It looks much more like Rachel Weisz, then it does Mila Kunis.

Although the witch may look like Weisz the poster should not actually portray the Wicked Witch of East but the West. The article is wrong, almost everyone knows the Wicked Witch of the West is the greenskinned and black suited lady that was defeated by Dorothy. Mila Kunis portrays the Wicked Witch of the West and she stated that her character will undergo a transformation that won’t have children running up to her. It’s Kunis.

I’m really excited for Warm Bodies and Oz: The Great and the Powerful. The posters for the Disney’s Oz are quite striking and dramatic and I’ve been a fan of the Wizard of Oz ever since my childhood.
