In this weekend’s Bullet To The Head, Sarah Shahi (Fairly Legal) and Sung Kang (The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift) co-star opposite Sylvester Stallone as his daughter and ‘partner’ respectively, the twosome forming an unlikely romance much to Sly’s chagrin. After Taylor Kwon’s (Kang) corrupt police partner is murdered, he teams up with the betrayed hit-man responsible (Stallone) to uncover who put the hit on in the first place. As the duo get closer to those responsible (Christian Slater, Jason Momoa, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), the villains attempt to get some leverage of their own turning their sights onto Sly’s estranged daughter Lisa (Shahi).
In the following interview with Shahi and Kang, the twosome talk working opposite Stallone, what drew them to the project and breaking conventional stereotypes. In addition, Kang discusses his ‘tragic’ Fast and Furious character Han and what to expect in Furious Six. For the full interview, hit the jump.

We’re still not 100% sure if the new Fast & Furious movie is entitled “Fast & Furious 6” (it could be “Fast Six“, “Furious Six“, or maybe even my personal prediction, Fast Cars Go Boom Now), but no matter what it ends up being called, we now have the first synopsis. The new film has Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) trying to stop a group of mercenary drivers led by an unnamed mastermind (Luke Evans) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Hobbs recruits Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew to help bring down the criminal outfit, and in exchange will provide pardons for the Rio heist.
Hit the jump for the full synopsis, and look out for the first trailer during the Super Bowl. The film also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Gina Carano. Fast & Furious 6 opens May 24th.

We’ve already revealed teasers for the Super Bowl ads for Oz the Great and Powerful and The Lone Ranger (although the latter is during the pre-game), plus reported on the first look at Fast & Furious 6 as well as the Star Trek Into Darkness app that will start up during the second quarter. According to THR, there will also be ads for World War Z and Iron Man 3. Sony, Fox, and Warner Bros. are skipping out on the Super Bowl, and you can’t really blame them since adtime is averaging around $3.75 million. Personally, I’m most excited for the no-name company that purchases adtime and runs a horribly offensive commercial (there’s always one). For non-movie ads, there will be the usual suspects the Budweiser Clydesdales, E-Trade’s talking baby, and Danica Patrick for GoDaddy.com. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a few Bud Light commercials show up, and those are usually among the best of the night.

Vin Diesel is ridiculously popular on Facebook (37 million likes), and he’s done a good job at using his page to promote his upcoming projects. Today, he has revealed a new image from Fast & Furious 6, and he also provided a confirmation that the first trailer will premiere during the Super Bowl on February 3rd. That’s a scant three months before the film opens, but the Super Bowl is the perfect place to show off a trailer for a movie like Fast & Furious 6. Presumably, we’ll start seeing some posters soon, and since Super Bowl ad time is ridiculously expensive, a longer trailer should debut online or in theaters soon after the Super Bowl spot.
Hit the jump to check out the new image. The film also stars Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Joe Taslim, and Luke Evans. Fast & Furious 6 opens May 24th.

Between the Twitter-happy Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson and the Facebook savvy Vin Diesel, we’ve seen quite a few candid behind-the-scenes images from the set of the upcoming sequel Fast & Furious 6. As production now winds down on director Justin Lin’s follow-up, Diesel has shared a couple more photos from the set. One is just the actor behind the wheel, but another image features Diesel, Paul Walker, and Jordana Brewster. The image’s caption notes that the three first came together as the characters in 1999, and it’s crazy to think that a decade and five films later the series is still going strong with the same core cast.

Vin Diesel loves to show his fans images from his upcoming movies (which reminds me: when are we going to see Riddick?), and he’s now showed off two still from Fast and Furious 6. Naturally, it shows Diesel playing the hero as he looks cool in front of a sweet car, and hugging a child. We don’t know much about the film beyond it involving dueling heist crews, but Fast and Furious 6 clearly isn’t just about explosions and cars, people. It’s got a lot of heart.

Production is still underway in London on director Justin Lin’s Fast and Furious 6, and though we’ve seen plenty of images and video from the set already, star Tyrese Gibson has decided to share a bit more with fans. The actor has been keeping tabs on the production via his Twitter account, and today we’ve got an image of Tyrese, Ludacris, and Mr. Dwayne Johnson on a vehicle preparing to head out into what I can only assume is some intense action.
He also shared a video from the set (for some reason shot vertically on his phone), and you can check both out after the jump. The film also stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Joe Taslim, and Luke Evans. Fast and Furious 6 opens May 24, 2013.

Last week, we showed you some photos and videos from the set of Fast and Furious 6, and now more photos and videos have arrived online. Previously, we only saw some cars and a tank, but this time around we get a full-on crash (intentional, of course). It loses some of its majesty being shot from a spy-cam, but I’m sure director Justin Lin will cut it together to make it an exhilarating moment for fans of the franchise.
Hit the jump to check out images and video, although this could probably be considered a minor spoiler, so consider yourself warned. We’ve also included comments about the film from Ludacris, who is returning to play Tej Parker. The film also stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Joe Taslim, and Luke Evans. Fast and Furious 6 opens May 24, 2013.

Fast and Furious 6 is currently filming in Tenerife, Spain, and photos and video have leaked from the set . There’s nothing too revelatory about these images other than a tank will be involved at some point. Tanks are not known for being fast, so clearly, the title no longer makes sense. This does not bode well for the tight, cohesive plots we’ve come to expect from the films. As for the video, it shows a behemoth of a vehicle that I don’t even know how to begin to describe. It would almost look futuristic if it weren’t in drab, military green.

It looks like Universal Pictures is planning to firm up its film slate by focusing on franchises and animation over the next few years. One of the most successful franchises to date started with The Fast and the Furious, which continues to hold strong (Fast Six is due May 24th, 2013). Universal also plans on going ahead with sequels to this summer’s The Bourne Legacy, which starred Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz, as well as a follow-up to Seth MacFarlane’s Ted, with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. They’re also getting ambitious on the animated front by expecting to crank out two films a year, versus their current rate of two every three years. Hit the jump for more.

Dwayne Johnson loves tweeting information to his fans, like set photos from his movies or hinting that Osama Bin Laden is dead. Today, he has tweeted the first image from his upcoming film, Fast Six. The image doesn’t show anything major. It’s just Johnson and co-star Gina Carano (Haywire) standing around and being bad-asses. If you wanted to see a blend of friendliness and the ability to beat the life out of you, this is the picture for you.
