While we saw a bevy of collectibles from both the Iron Man and Batman franchises in years past, material for Warner Bros.’ Man of Steel has been fairly light. Not to worry, though, as Hot Toys has unveiled a stellar collectible figure for Russell Crowe’s Jor-El, complete with a Kryptonian gun and stellar wardrobe. If you’ve been holding out for a solid Man of Steel collectible, this is it. While the price is a bit steep at $219.99, avid collectors will surely find room in their budget for this figure. I don’t think you’re ever too old for LEGO unless you think you’re too old to have fun. They’re geared towards children, but I’ve recently been building some sets, and I find it very relaxing and rewarding. I recently spent hours and hours building the LEGO Palace Cinema and before that, I did the LEGO The Battle of Helm’s Deep. LEGO has now released some more Lord of the Rings LEGO sets that you can pick up. There’s the iconic stuff like the Council of Elrond and the Battle at the Black Gate as well as brief action scenes like the ambush of the pirate ship from Return of the King and the wizard battle between Gandalf and Saruman. I think at this point we can clearly see the appeal of Jabba the Hutt decorating his home with Han Solo’s frozen carbonite body. The sculpture has been turned into an iPhone case, an ice tray, a desk, and other assorted objects. But now the memorable image has reached its pinnacle by being turned into a light switch plate. “And where does the switch go?” you may ask. Well, I’m happy to inform you that the switch is Han Solo’s penis. Not graphically his penis, but unmistakably and intentionally a phallic way to operate your home lighting.
Sadly, someone has already bought this item from Etsy seller WickedStudio. If the person who bought the dick-switch ever meets Harrison Ford, he or she will have a great conversation starter. Hit the jump to check out images of the frozen carbonite Han Solo light switch featuring his clumsy blaster.

Fans are understandably excited as the release of Marvel’s Iron Man 3 is now only a few short days away, but in case the Shane Black-directed sequel isn’t enough to appease your fandom, another Iron Man-related product is being made available—though it comes with quite the hefty price tag. Sideshow Collectibles has unveiled a life-size Iron Man Mark 42 collectible, which is basically a human-sized action figure. The piece stands over seven feet tall and weighs over 100 lbs. Moreover, it comes complete with LED light up eyes, arc reactor, palm, and display base. The figure will run you $8499.99, and I can think of plenty of other causes worthy of that kind of money, but the figure is available for purchase nevertheless. Season three of AMC’s The Walking Dead introduced some new and quirky characters, none moreso than The Governor (David Morrissey) who had a penchant for keeping severed heads floating in aquariums. Now you can have your own collection of bobbing heads without the grisly (or very illegal) act of decapitation! A Limited Edition Blu-ray for season three of the zombie series comes in a wonderfully gory display case with two backlit “aquariums” featuring five floating heads. It’s available to pre-order now for about $105 (which is 30% off the $150 retail price). Hit the jump to check it out.
Though director Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy came to a close last year with the release of The Dark Knight Rises, it appears that we’ll still be seeing material from the franchise for some time to come. Hot Toys has posted a few curious images that tease the unboxing of a rather massive 1/6 scale model of “The Bat” from The Dark Knight Rises, revealing that Batman’s aerial vehicle could soon be yours. No price is given, but one imagines this won’t exactly be cheap. Pre-orders are expected to begin in the near future, so keep an eye out.
