New Poster for SCREAM 4 [UPDATED]

After already releasing two bland posters, Dimension is taking another run at their Scream 4 marketing by high-lighting Ghostface and his killer chin.  If the whole movie has Ghostface running around chin-stabbing his victims, I will declare Scream 4 as the best movie in the franchise.  Anything less will be a disappointment.

Hit the jump to check out the poster.  Directed by Wes Craven, Scream 4 stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox Arquette, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, and Hayden Panettiere.  The film opens April 15th. [Update: We've updated the article with a larger version of the poster.]

New posters for Scream 4 and Bridesmaids have gone online.  The Scream 4 poster keeps the Albino-Face theme they’ve been using since the marketing for the movies began back in 1996.  As for Bridesmaids, we see stars Kristen Wiig (who co-wrote the film), Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Ellie Kemper looking like a bunch of bad-asses.

Hit the jump to check out both posters plus details on the films.  Scream 4 stars Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, and Hayden Panettiere.  The film opens April 15th.  Bridesmaids was produced by Judd Apatow and directed by Paul Feig.  It opens May 13th. [Update: Dimension has sent us a hi-res version of the Scream 4 poster, which you can check out after the jump.]

Dimension has released a couple of new high-resolution images from director Wes Craven’s upcoming Scream 4. The film reunites most of the main cast from the original films with Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette all returning for another Woodsboro-killing-spree adventure. Joining them in what will hopefully be a return to the meta-horror/comedy of the first film is Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Hayden Panettiere and a number of other awesome people (Kristen Bell! Anna Paquin! Alison Brie!).  Scream 4 will be released on April 15th. Hit the jump to check out the images, and if you missed the new trailer the other day click here.

Over the years, Lifetime Television has had great success producing original movies, in particular, films inspired by true stories. Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, premiering February 21st, stars Hayden Panettiere as the young woman who was accused and convicted of the crime of murdering her college roommate in Italy, but who many still believe is a victim of injustice.

During a recent interview to promote the film, Hayden Panettiere talked about playing a real-life person, how intense the emotions of this role were, and being true to who Amanda Knox is, regardless of her guilt or innocence. She also talked about her 4-year experience on Heroes, and what it was like to be a part of Scream 4, alongside the original cast members. Check out what she had to say after the jump:

New SCREAM 4 Trailer

Dimension Films has just released a new trailer for Scream 4 and it’s actually quite good with tons of new action-packed footage not seen in the original teaser. Not that I was worried or anything, but after the disappointing Scream 3, my expectations for this third sequel haven’t exactly been through the roof. In all actuality, I’m just curious to see how many members of the original cast will get offed.

Scream 4 reunites Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette and director Wes Craven. The screenplay was written by Kevin Williamson who penned the scripts for Scream and Scream 2. The thriller is set to open April 15. Check out the trailer after the jump, but be warned, there is much spoiler-ish action on display – don’t say I didn’t warn you!

David Arquette Exclusive Interview; Talks About Terry Gilliam’s THE LEGEND OF HALLOWDEGA, SCREAM 4, and Directing CSI: MIAMI

by     Posted: October 30th, 2010 at 12:11 pm

With Terry Gilliam’s new short film, The Legend of Hallowdega, premiering on LegendofHallowdega.com tomorrow after the AMP Energy Juice 500 race (the first chapter will be sneaked on ESPN just prior to the race at 1pm), I was able to get on the phone with David Arquette the other day.  In the short film, Arquette plays a techno-geek paranormal expert who teams up with an investigative news show (Justin Kirk) to explore the mysteries around the Talladega Superspeedway.  They’re trying to figure out if the race track was built on  an old Indian burial ground and that’s the reason for the spectacular car crashes.

During the interview we talked about how happy he was to work with Terry Gilliam and how he’s been a fan his entire life.  Of course with Arquette also starring in Wes Craven’s Scream 4, we also talked about what it was like to return to Woodsboro and what can fans expect. In addition, Arquette talked about how he’s going to be directing an episode of CSI: Miami and Cougar Town and some of his other films projects.  Hit the jump to either read the transcript or listen to the audio:

The Scream 4 promotional tour is really kicking off this week.  The Weinstein Co. released the extended trailer, and now we have some brand new high resolution pics from the Wes Craven-helmed flick which stars Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, and Hayden Panettiere.

For more on Scream 4 and horror legend Wes Craven, be sure to check out Steve’s interview with Craven at The Scream Awards.  He said that the sequel “is a lot about looking back at the last ten years of horror and comparing it and contrasting it and having fun with it.”  Hit the jump to see new images of nubile actors being terrorized by Ghostface.

Exclusive: Wes Craven Talks SCREAM 4 at the Scream Awards; Says the Film Looks Back at the Last Ten Years of Horror

by     Posted: October 19th, 2010 at 9:57 pm

At this year’s Scream Awards, I was able to land a few minutes with director Wes Craven on the red carpet.  As most of you are well aware, Craven just wrapped principal photography on Scream 4 and while he was a bit guarded about saying too much about the plot, he did reveal the movie “is a lot about looking back at the last ten years of horror and comparing it and contrasting it and having fun with it.”  He also said the word “meta” is used a fair amount in the movie.  We also talked about the struggle trying to keep the film a mystery with all the paparazzi and fans trying to take pictures of the cast on the set.

Hit the jump to watch the interview.  He also revealed he just saw the editors assembly of the movie…

Extended Teaser Trailer for SCREAM 4 Starring Neve Campbell and Emma Roberts

This weekend, a teaser trailer for Wes Craven’s Scream 4 leaked online after premiering at Spike TV’s 201 Scream Awards.  Now an extended version of that teaser trailer has gone online.  The picture quality is much higher, but the trailer itself doesn’t do much more than say, “It’s Scream!  There are different rules but the outcome is still the same!”  So it’s not much of a re-invention of the franchise as much as “We promise this won’t be predictable…unless you’re predicting that teenagers are going to get murdered by Ghostface.  Then your prediction skills are spot on.”  However, I love the joke that closes out the trailer.

Hit the jump to check out the teaser trailer.  The film stars Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, and Hayden Panettiere.  Scream 4 opens April 15, 2011.

Leak of SCREAM 4 Trailer from 2010 Scream Awards

The trailer for Wes Craven’s Scream 4 debuted last night during the taping of the 2010 Scream Awards.  Now, thanks to the magic of the Internet and concealable video recorders, a leak is available online.  I’ll refrain from making any judgment calls on the merit of the trailer until I can see a version of higher audio/video quality.  That said, I don’t think I’m giving too much away when I say that it features a lot of, well, screaming.

As mentioned, the quality on display here is nothing to write home about.  However, if the idea of waiting until the 2010 Scream Awards air on Spike this coming Tuesday night doesn’t appeal to you, check out the cock-eyed debut of the Scream 4 trailer after the jump.  The film is slated to open April 15th, 2011 and stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, and Hayden Panettiere.

Dimension has released a new image from Wes Craven’s Scream 4.  The image doesn’t reveal much other than David Arquette’s character Dewey is still a cop.  Judging from his stance, I’m assuming that he’s telling a crowd that they’re going to get murdered by Ghostface but they should do so in a calm and orderly fashion.

Hit the jump to check out the image.  Scream 4 also stars Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, Emma Roberts, and Hayden Panettiere.  The film is set to open on April 15, 2011.  Click here to see the previously-released image.
