The end is nigh. The final poster for the franchise-closing The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has been unveiled. The one-sheet features stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner running into some action, but just because they’re partaking in physical activity doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten to make their super serious faces. The film’s “forever” tagline is also present, as the poster threatens promises an “epic finale that will live forever.”
Hit the jump to check out the poster. Directed by Bill Condon, the film also stars Mackenzie Foy, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens November 16th.
[Update: 15 high-resolution images have been released and are also included after the jump.]

A new trailer for the final entry in the Twilight franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, has been released. If you’ve been waiting patiently to see Kristen Stewart viciously tackle a mountain lion, your moment has come. This trailer focuses on Stewart’s newfound vampire powers and sets up the major conflict in the film: the vampire government (cult?) the Volturi is angry because they think Bella and Edward created a vampire baby by biting a child, which is apparently frowned upon in the Twilight universe. As we all know, Renesmee is the fruit of some good old fashioned baby-makin’, but I guess instead of trying to sort out this misunderstanding, the two factions of vampires—and Jacob—decide it’s better to go to war. The drama and action levels look to have been upped considerably for this finale, and fans of the book series will likely be pleased with the results.
Hit the jump to watch the trailer. Directed by Bill Condon, the film also stars Robert Pattinson, Mackenzie Foy, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, and Jackson Rathbone. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens November 16th.

The Twilight film franchise will finally come to a close this November with the series’ concluding chapter, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. The film’s release comes with some added behind-the-scenes drama, but Twilight fans are likely just excited to see how Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson bring the franchise to an end. A couple new images from the film have landed online, along with some quotes from director Bill Condon about the movie. He reveals how long the film will be, talks about visualizing the Bella/Edward spawn Renesemee’s powers, and teases the film’s climax. Hit the jump to check out the photos and Condon quotes.

There are a number of projects in development about WikiLeaks and/or WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, but one such film may now be moving closer to a reality. Per Deadline, Jeremy Renner is apparently keen on playing Assange in DreamWorks’ iteration of the story, with Kinsey and Twilight: Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon looking at possible taking the helm. No solid movement has been made concerning Renner or Condon, but the two would make an interesting team to tackle one of the most high profile stories of the last decade. Hit the jump for more.

The first time I attended Comic-Con was the first time Twilight came to the massive geek gathering. I can still hear the shrieks, probably because I was in Hall H for the franchise’s final installment, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. This year’s panel began on a somber note, and there was a brief moment of silence for the Twilight fan who died on Tuesday. After the moment of silence, lead actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner were brought to the stage and met with the cheers they’ve always received at Comic-Con. The trio are joined by Mackenzie Foy, who plays Renesmee. Author Stephanie Meyer then takes the stage, making this her first Hall H appearance since the first movie. We then get a special video message from director Bill Condon, who’s currently in London working on the sound mix for Part 2. He tells the audience that the best way to start this panel is to pick up where Breaking Dawn – Part 1 left off. Hit the jump for my full recap of the panel.

Last night we got our first kind of look at Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy), the superspawn of Kristen Stewart’s Bella and Robert Pattinson’s Edward in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Now a whole batch of images from the film has gone online giving us a full look at the child, as well as some other new vampires and a few wonderfully awkward family photos. We just got confirmation that Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will return to Comic-Con next month for the last time, so I expect we’ll start to see some new footage from the film around then. These images don’t exactly make the pic look any less weird than its predecessors (which isn’t surprising given Breaking Dawn‘s strange plot), and there’s one especially uncomfortable photo that highlights the budding romance between Taylor Lautner’s Jacob and the child Renesmee. This is a thing that happens.
Hit the jump to take a look at the images as well as the new Twilight-centric EW cover. The film also stars Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Billy Burke, Rami Malek, Dakota Fanning and Maggie Grace. Directed by Bill Condon, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens on November 16th.

Almost a year ago, Summit Entertainment premiered the first promo poster for director Bill Condon‘s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. So it makes sense that at this year’s show, Summit would premiere the first poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. For those unaware, CinemaCon is a convention put on for theater owners in order to get a look at what the studios have to offer for the rest of the year, and where vendors can show new products for theaters to buy; it’s basically Comic-Con for theater owners. Besides showing off never before seen footage, the studios often bring the cast and the filmmakers. Over the course of a few days, Hollywood comes to Las Vegas.
While I’m sure Twilight fans would love to see a great photo of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner on the first poster, it’s just like last year in that it’s just the logo, the date, and info about the website on the bottom. Hit the jump to check it out and look for tons of new posters and our reporting from CinemaCon every day this week.

As I write today, in the back of mind rests more than a handful of permutations for my Black Friday plan of attack. Do I really need a new 42 inch HDTV? How about various seasons of television on DVD/Blu-ray for rock bottom prices? What about one of those sweet Dyson vacuum cleaners with the roller ball? The answer to all of the above is most likely a resounding “no”, but need isn’t what Black Friday is all about. Not even close. Black Friday is all about getting something/anything on the cheap if for no other reason than because if you don’t, then the person behind you in line will. Oh, America. How I love thee.
In this week’s “Top 5″ installment you’ll find our set visit coverage for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, our review and interviews for a little movie you may have heard about called The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, the first trailer for director Tarsem Singh’s Snow White-tale Mirror Mirror, a new trailer for Gary Ross’ The Hunger Games adaptation, and Steve’s coverage from his visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. Hit the jump for a brief recap and link to each.

With Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hitting theaters tomorrow at midnight, it’s time for our final interview and it’s with director Bill Condon. During my exclusive interview, Condon talked about how he got involved in the franchise, what props he took home, whether or not he did any test screenings, if the DVD/Blu-ray will have an extended edition, deleted scenes, the Easter eggs (you should stay through the credits), Bella’s transformation, and his future projects. In addition, Condon revealed that his first cut of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was 2 hours 14 minutes and now it’s about 1 hour 52 minutes without credits. Hit the jump to watch.

Last week, Summit released some behind-the-scenes footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. It was a little over two minutes and it showed Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and director Bill Condon working through a number of scenes when the production was still filming. If you enjoyed the footage from last week you’ll want to hit the jump, as we’ve been provided with another two or so minutes of additional behind-the-scenes footage. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens on November 18.

Hot on the heels of the first TV spots for the film, a new featurette for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has gone online. The featurette includes Kristen Stewart uncomfortably discussing aspects of the film like marriage and vampire babies. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner also appear to discuss their characters as well, interspersed with some behind-the-scenes footage. The second half of the video is entirely made up of behind-the-scenes clips, like Lautner running shirtless in the rain (this guy really hates clothes). It’s nothing too mind-blowing, but odds are if you’re a fan of the series this featurette will pique your interest.
Hit the jump to watch the featurette. Directed by Bill Condon, the film also stars Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen and Kellan Lutz, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 opens on November 18th.

A new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has landed online. Directed by Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters), the pic stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen and Kellan Lutz. In case you haven’t bothered keeping up, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 marks the penultimate installment in the franchise which is good news for fans and foes of the franchise alike.
As for the trailer? What can I possibly say about the Twilight franchise that its millions of fans haven’t heard and completely disregarded before? The acting is weak, the action looks cheesy, the writing is most likely contrived, blah, blah, blah, it’s going to make a ton of money. I had held out hope that Condon’s involvement would bring a touch of credibility to Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and while that may still be the case, I’m not seeing it in these 2:30. Check out the trailer for yourself after the jump. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens on November 18th.

Earlier this morning, before taking the stage in Hall H at Comic-Con, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and director Bill Condon sat down with a huge group of reporters and answered a ton of questions about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. In the next hour or so we’ll have the full transcript and a proper intro, but for now, hit the jump to watch the entire press conference or listen to the audio. They talked about the challenges of making the final two movies, their favorite scenes, and a lot more. In addition, I was in the front row, so the video is pretty good. Hope you like.

The first footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has been released, and it’s epically epic in its epicness. Okay, so it’s not. But MTV has decided to play big choir-led action music over cut shots of a wedding. Granted, it’s Bella and Edward and I’m sure fans of the books will enjoy this much more than I, but it still feels more than a little overblown. Nevertheless, stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are set to present the entire sneak peek footage at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, which airs on Sunday June 5th. Hit the jump to watch a sneak peek for the sneak peek. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hits theaters on November 8th.
