The end is nigh.  The final poster for the franchise-closing The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has been unveiled.  The one-sheet features stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner running into some action, but just because they’re partaking in physical activity doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten to make their super serious faces.  The film’s “forever” tagline is also present, as the poster threatens promises an “epic finale that will live forever.”

The Twilight franchise comes to an end this November with the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, but the series is planning on going out with a bang.  Summit announced today that “The Twilight Saga Marathon” will invade theaters across the country on November 15th, a day before the wide release of Breaking Dawn – Part 2.  Fans will be treated to all four previous Twilight films on the big screen, followed by the premiere of Breaking Dawn – Part 2 at 10pm local time; a full two hours before the midnight screenings begin.

Marathon-goers will be privy to exclusive content that will play between the films as well as a collectible event lanyard to keep their tickets close.  Though the Twilight series gets derided plenty, Summit certainly knows how to treat the franchise’s legion of fans.  More detailed information will be released soon, but in the meantime check out trailers for all the previous films followed by the full press release after the jump.  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens everywhere on November 16th.

While the trailer we brought you last night for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was all well and good, tonight we have the full final trailer for the epic conclusion to The Twilight Saga.  While this version features the exact same amount of cougar tackling as the last one, fans will also be happy to see about forty-five seconds of new footage.  The final trailer reveals more of the world’s vampires outside of Forks, the powers they possess and the punishment that awaits Bella and her coven should they fail.

A new trailer for the final entry in the Twilight franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, has been released.  If you’ve been waiting patiently to see Kristen Stewart viciously tackle a mountain lion, your moment has come.  This trailer focuses on Stewart’s newfound vampire powers and sets up the major conflict in the film: the vampire government (cult?) the Volturi is angry because they think Bella and Edward created a vampire baby by biting a child, which is apparently frowned upon in the Twilight universe.  As we all know, Renesmee is the fruit of some good old fashioned baby-makin’, but I guess instead of trying to sort out this misunderstanding, the two factions of vampires—and Jacob—decide it’s better to go to war.  The drama and action levels look to have been upped considerably for this finale, and fans of the book series will likely be pleased with the results.

The Twilight film franchise will finally come to a close this November with the series’ concluding chapter, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.  The film’s release comes with some added behind-the-scenes drama, but Twilight fans are likely just excited to see how Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson bring the franchise to an end.  A couple new images from the film have landed online, along with some quotes from director Bill Condon about the movie.  He reveals how long the film will be, talks about visualizing the Bella/Edward spawn Renesemee’s powers, and teases the film’s climax.  Hit the jump to check out the photos and Condon quotes.

Four new images from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 have gone online.  Like the majority of images we’ve seen from the upcoming film, these show Bella and her new family being happy as can be.  At worst, the characters are looking at something disconcerting.  Based on the images alone, it looks like the movie is shaping up to be an L.L. Bean catalog where strange things are happening off camera.

The cast and creative team of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 appeared recently at Comic-Con for the last time as the concluding film of the series is set to open this November 16th.  But recent behind-the-scenes set photos from star Gil Birmingham, who played Jacob’s dad, give fans a look at the young stars back when it all started with Twilight in 2008.  The images show off a fresh(er)-faced Robert Pattinson, a teenaged Kristen Stewart (complete with a cake and party on her 18th birthday) and a less wolfed-out Taylor Lautner.  They also feature my favorite part of the entire Twilight saga: that sweet old Chevy truck that Bella gets from her dad.  Love that thing.  Hit the jump to take a trip back in time and check out the behind-the-scenes images.

Earlier today, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 entertained fans at Comic-Con for the last time.  To close out the festivities, author Stephenie Meyer and the leading cast welcomed new cast members onto the stage, actors who will be playing exotic vampires from around the world.  But the billion-dollar franchise had one more trick up its fashionable sleeve as new images of the vampiric characters from other covens have been released.  This may not be the last time you see your favorite vamps and wolves on the screen, as there is talk of a possible reboot down the road.  You can read up more about the future of the franchise in this recent interview.  The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, directed by Bill Condon and starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, opens November 16^th.  Hit the jump to check out the images and more information on the covens.

Yesterday, the cast of the Twilight series hit the Hall H stage at Comic-Con for the last time in anticipation of the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 later this year.  Just before the public panel, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and author Stephenie Meyer took part in a press conference and fielded a number of questions regarding the franchise.  You can read the full interview right here, but in case you missed it the group talked briefly about the prospect of rebooting the franchise in the future.

Since Twilight is a highly lucrative property, it only makes sense for a studio down the line to eventually restart the franchise and bring in a new director with a different vision for Meyer’s series.  The actors and Meyer were all asked how they would feel if Twilight was rebooted, and some of their responses may surprise you.  Hit the jump for more.

Earlier today, before taking the stage in Hall H at Comic-Con, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and author Stephenie Meyer held a press conference for a ton of reporters to talk about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 to discuss not only the last installment in the hugely popular franchise, but also their feelings on the entire experience and how it has personally affected them.  Hit the jump for the audio and the full transcript.

Comic-Con has released the schedule for Preview Night on Wednesday, July 11th and the full schedule for Thursday, July 12th.  Preview Night won’t just have people trampling each other for Exhibitors Floor merchandise.  It will also have screenings of the pilots for Arrow, 666 Park Avenue, The Following, Revolution, and Cult.  As for Thursday, Comic-Con has wisely scheduled The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 as the first panel of the day in Hall H (although it doesn’t start until almost 1:00pm for some reason), so all the Twihards can get in, see the panel, and get on with their lives.  For the rest of the day, Hall H will play host to Frankenweenie, Oz the Great and Powerful, Wreck-It Ralph, Jackie Chan’s CZ12, The Expendables 2, and…not much else really.  No offense to Chan, but his directorial feature CZ12 is going to be packed only because Expendables 2 is coming afterwards.

On the TV side, there will be panels for returning series Psych, Wilfred, Archer, Nikita, Dexter, and Workaholics.  There will also be panels for new series Beauty and the Beast and Elementary.  Hit the jump for highlights from the Wednesday and Thursday schedules.  The 2012 San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 12 – 15th.
