I honestly think Pain & Gain may be a good Micheal Bay movie. Not cause of Bay obviously, but because of the great cast. I mean thats a pretty good cast, that’s bound to be funny together. I won’t set my hopes to high cause it is Micheal Bay, but I can honestly say I wanna see this movie.

The Rock has to sit so he doesn’t reveal Mark Wahlberg is actually a midget.

Well Mark isnt a midget but the Rock is 6″4. I suppose anyone would look short next to him…

is it just me or does Mark Wahlberg’s head look photoshopped onto his body? also, this is a pet peeve of mine, but i hate when posters have the movie’s stars lined up side by side, but then the names don’t match up with the person. couldn’t they have used a mirror image of this? you see this stuff all the time. look at the poster for No Country For Old Men. same thing. it always bothers me

I’m guessing it has to do with contractual placing of the names (first-billed, second-billed, etc) and the promotional photographer and graphic designers only focused on creating the best visual composition and not taking that stuff into consideration until too late.

And in this instance, the flag in the background would have come off wrong if they mirrored the image… If it’s not a separate, photoshopped background, that is (and even so, then Whalberg’s head would be blocking the stars in a mirrored image, leaving only a striped background, much less iconic).

This kind of stuff is so prevalent though, that it might just be some sort of ongoing in-joke in Hollywood.

    Pain and Gain huh.
I live in Florida and I know the real story. The dudes the Rock and Mark are portraying were muscle marries. Buff gay men that went looking for rich guys to extort money from. This was no American dream on their part. So that tag line is complete bs!
The guys killed one rich man, chopped off his head, feet and hands and left his naked body in a public storage after they extorted money from him. Two other victims were a couple, boy friend and girlfriend from Europe. They were found chopped up and placed in a 50 gallon oil drum on the side of the road.
Those guys were sociopaths and I don’t think pain and gain will go down that road.
