The first two trailers and a new poster for Paranormal Activity 4 have gone online. We’ve known next to nothing about the plot up until this point, and based on this trailer it appears that things will be taking place during present day in this fourth installment in the popular found footage franchise. As far as I can tell these are all new characters, though I assume the third act of the pic will somehow tie into the series’ “mythology.” They utilize a pretty cool new found footage technique by having the main character in the middle of a Skype call when said activity occurs, but I’m told this device was also used in the horror anthology V/H/S. Nevertheless, the trailer promises jump scares and found footage aplenty, so I’m sure fans of the Paranormal Activity franchise will be pleased.

OMFG!!!!! That was so scary! I hope they show it in theaters this weekend because it’s always better in a theater. I look forward to these every year and I’m SO exited! I feel like they get scarier and scarier every time. How do they do it?
I actually prefer to watch at home alone. Scarier that way.
agreed thats the only way to truly enjoy a scary movie.

So the sister and the demon child move somewhere else and the demon attacks nosey neighbors

Looks like the same house as PA3. Maybe the kid from PA2 is haunting it now?
Perfect movie for October!! Can’t wait!

This dead horse has been beaten into glue.
As a fan of the Paranormal Activity series, I am interested in getting an outsider prospective of the situation. It will be scary not having all of the facts, bringing back some of the mystery that made the first movie great. My job at Dish sometimes requires that I work late, there’s nothing I love more than coming home and watching a good scary movie like, Paranormal Activity, with Blockbuster @Home. I like that I can order the DVDs by mail, or exchange them in a store; I can also stream thousands of movies to my TV. I am glad that the same directors from the last movie are involved with this new film; I hope they understand that other than scares, the fans would like answers.
