CBS Gives Full Season Orders to PERSON OF INTEREST and UNFORGETTABLE

Since CBS has already given a full season order to their new comedy 2 Broke Girls, it’s time to bring in some new drama for a whole season as the network announced today that both Person of Interest, from executive producer J.J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan, and the new crime drama Unforgettable have both been given full season orders. While the former series starring Jim Caviezel (Passion of the Christ) and Michael Emerson (Lost) has caught my interest as a unique, crime procedural with the potential for an interesting over-arcing story, the latter isn’t currently on my radar (though it’s apparently the #1 new drama with an average of 14 million viewers). Usually CBS doesn’t bring much to the table each season, but I’m at least pleased with this new offering from Bad Robot. Hit the jump for a brief press release announcing the full season orders.

CBS has given full season orders to the season’s top two freshman dramas—Unforgettable and Person Of Interest.

Unforgettable, the season’s #1 new drama in viewers, is averaging 14.00 million viewers, 4.2/10 in adults 25-54 and 3.0/08 in adults 18-49. Unforgettable has improved the Tuesday (10:00-11:00 PM) time period by +3% in both viewers and adults 18-49 and by +5% in adults 25-54 versus last season. Unforgettable wins its time period in all key ratings measures.

Person Of Interest, the #2 new drama in viewers, is averaging 13.97 million viewers, 4.6/11 in adults 25-54 and 3.3/08 in adults 18-49 in its Thursday (9:00-10:00 PM) time period.

Unforgettable stars Poppy Montgomery, Dylan Walsh, Michael Gaston, Kevin Rankin and Daya Vaidya.  Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman and Ed Redlich are executive producers for Sony Television Studios in association with CBS Television Studios.

Person Of Interest stars Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Taraji P. Henson and Kevin Chapman.  J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman are executive producers for Bonanza Productions Inc., in association with Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

Unforgettable is not very good, same run in the mill crap. I thought it would be different than other procedurals, nope not at all. Poppy Montgomery has a horrible American accent also. Person Of Interest is cool, will keep watching. Michael Emerson is the best

Person Of Interest #2 averaging 13.97 million viewers.
Unforgettable #1 averaging 14.00 million viewers.

13.97 vs 14.00 is well within the margin
of error and a tie for #1 statistically.

Person Of Interest is the best new
network drama in a long, long time.
