Peter Stormare in Talks to Join Arnold Schwarzenegger in THE LAST STAND

by     Posted 2 years, 348 days ago

Any day with two Arnold Schwarzenegger-related stories is a good day. Earlier we reported that The Governator is confirmed to return in The Expendables 2, and now comes word that Peter Stormare is in final negotiations to star as Schwarzenegger’s foe in The Last Stand. Kim Jee-Woon (I Saw the Devil) is set to direct the western which will serve as Schwarzenegger’s return to acting following his sabbatical as Governor. The actor stars as the sheriff of a sleepy town near the Mexican border who is the last line of defense between a drug kingpin on the run and Mexico.

Variety reports that Stormare will play a seasoned war veteran who acts as the main villain’s right hand man. George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau) wrote the latest draft of the script. The Last Stand is slated for release on January 18, 2013.

Arnold Schwarzenegger needs to do more dramas now rather than just doing huge action blockbusters again because he pigeonholed himself as an actor who just did action movies. He is an underrated actor. So, I hope that he does more dramas, tries to reach his full potential as an actor and tries to win an Oscar.

Initially I wasn’t bothered at all, but Peter Stormare playing a bad guy will always stir my interest

It is a shame that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s marriage collapsed right when he is finally making his comeback to movies. Marriage, in my experience, takes work.

I think my husband taught me a lot about inner beauty and confidence in myself. I’m slim but voluptuous. I’ve got curves and a large bust but it seemed that men were more interested in my chest than my personality. My exes seemed obsessed with my cleavage. They were always going on about my breasts, and in bed they practically worshipped them, while I wished they concentrated their attention elsewhere.

My husband’s in love with the person inside of me, and the outside of me is just a bonus. I feel better—so much better now than I ever did in my twenties. I know who I am. And as a result, I feel much sexier.

^ Nice words Mrs.O’Connor. You found the right lucky guy…

I would’ve never pictured Arnold in a western. I guess we would have to wait and see how it would pan out once it starts filming and we see clips/trailers. The only role i recall seeing Stormare in was in ‘Constatine’. I thought he was pretty bad ass in his small yet significant role so my interest is seemingly sparked…
