If you haven't watched BBC and Amazon's spectacular, scathing comedy Fleabag, you don't know what you're missing. Created by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator of Killing Eve and the voice behind Solo: A Star Wars Story's surprisingly lusty droid L3-37, the BAFTA-wining series follows the titular Fleabag (Waller-Bridge), a disasterpiece of a human being who's trying to move on from her sex addiction and the emotional spiral that almost sent her walking into traffic.

Season 1 was some of the sharpest and funniest writing on TV in years, underlined by an absolutely eviscerating emotional journey of a woman trying to cope with her guilt and grief. In keeping, Season 2 doesn't look to be pulling any punches, picking up a year after the events of Season 1 and going straight for the guy upstairs when Fleabag meets a priest who helps change her worldview.

Season 2 sees the return of castmembers Sian CliffordBill PattersonBrett GelmanJenny RainsforHugh Dennis, Hugh Skinner, and recent Best Actress winner Olivia Coleman, who is absolutely savage as the nitpicking, undermining nightmare Godmother. The second season also welcomes Andrew Scott as The Preist, with special guest stars Fiona Shaw and Kristen Scott Thomas. The series is already wracking up killer reviews after its UK run and all six episodes will debut globally May 17, 2019 on Amazon Prime. Get a peek in the trailer below.

Synopsis:

Fleabag (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) is back for a second bite, and this time she is going toe to toe with the man upstairs. In an unexpected twist of fate, our lost little rascal meets a Priest (Andrew Scott) who jolts her into seeing the world in a different way. Picking up a year on, there are still old wounds to unpick and new ones to dress as the next chapter of Fleabag’s life takes her to hell and back.

Since the end of the last hilarious series when her entire family rejected her, her darkest secret was revealed and she nearly threw herself in front of a car, she’s back for more laughs than ever.

Joyful, bleak, poignant and sucker-punch funny, the original cast is joined by a car-crash of new characters as we delve further into the world of Fleabag. With hope and faith at the core of season 2, our heroine finds herself in the midst of a battle she is determined to win: Fleabag Vs God.
