If you’re not already following super producer Jerry Bruckheimer on Twitter, it’s time to push the “follow” button. That’s because he’s currently on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in Hawaii and he’s figured out how to use TwitPic. Yesterday he took a photo of director Rob Marshall arriving on set for the first day of filming, and today he took a picture of his chair which happens to have the logo of the film. While neither image on its own is that impressive, perhaps Mr. Bruckheimer might take a first shot of Johnny Depp arriving on set or some of the other actors lounging around. After all, who at Disney is going to tell him he shouldn’t be doing that…Hit the jump for the full image.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides gets released in 3D on May 20, 2011 with Johnny Depp returning as Captain Jack Sparrow, Penelope Cruz will play Sparrow’s love interest, Ian McShane (Deadwood) is in talks to play Blackbeard, the villain of the movie, and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey has been cast in the “key role” of Syrena, a beautiful and alluring young mermaid. The film shoots on location in Hawaii, Great Britain and Los Angeles.
